The Snake River Invitational is bringing three days of NCAA Division I men’s college basketball to the Mountain America Center November 27–29, 2026. Making its debut over Thanksgiving weekend, the inaugural tournament will feature four accomplished programs—Boise State, Drake, North Texas and North Dakota State—competing in six games over three action-packed days in Idaho Falls.
The four-team field brings a combined 28 NCAA Tournament appearances, multiple conference championships and a history of postseason success to the Mountain America Center. Fans will have the opportunity to see every team take the court each day, with matchups featuring some of the region’s most recognizable programs alongside nationally competitive teams from across the country.
The Snake River Invitational builds on the Mountain America Center’s growing tradition of hosting high-level college basketball. After welcoming collegiate basketball events in 2023, 2024, and 2025, the venue is taking the next step in 2026 with its first four-team, three-day tournament. The event will also mark the first multi-team Division I men’s college basketball event hosted in Idaho Falls.
More than just six games of basketball, the Snake River Invitational is designed to become a new tradition in Eastern Idaho, bringing teams, alumni, families and fans together for an unforgettable weekend at the Mountain America Center.
